St Paul's Bay local council is launching its carnival festivities this weekend.

One of the activities will be held between Bay Square and the main streets of Bugibba and Qawra on Friday from 7 till 11 p.m. and will feature the Victoria Band Club from Mellieha which will march in carnival costumes.

The other activity will be held in St Paul's Street and the St Paul's Band Club area on Sunday from 2.30 till 8 p.m. where a costume competition will be held.

The entertainers include carnival dance groups, the Carlos choir and the Corinne Turner Animation Group, Sophie, Christabelle Borg, Rebecca, Raisa, Michaela, Charlotte, She's 2, the folk duo Benny and Tonia and Claudia Faniello.

Other entertainers will include Joe Demicoli, Disneyland cartoon characters, a stilt walker, a balloon modeller and a face painter.
